What We Do

Together, our departments, the JoAnne Gay Dishman School of Nursing, Health & Kinesiology, Nutrition, Hospitality & Human Services, Social Work, and Speech & Hearing Sciences form a powerful and collaborative community dedicated to advancing health, well-being, and human potential across Southeast Texas and beyond.  

Through hands-on learning, expert faculty mentorship, and meaningful community engagement, our students gain the skills and experience needed to become tomorrow’s healthcare leaders.
