Goodwill Industries of Southeast Texas & Southwest Louisiana is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals overcome barriers to employment through the power of work. Founded in 1972, the organization provides training, employment services, and community support to people with disabilities or other employment limitations. [goodwilltxla.org] Guided by its mission acronym H.E.L.P. — Helping individuals with Employment Limitations meet their Potential, Goodwill empowers adults across Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana with resources that promote independence, dignity, and long‑term success.

What We Do

At Goodwill Industries of Southeast Texas & Southwest Louisiana, we proudly offer free programs designed to help adults build brighter futures. Through our six career centers, individuals age 18 and older can access no‑cost career readiness training, digital literacy classes, and essential life‑skills support. Our free services include resume building, interview preparation, basic computer skills, workplace communication training, financial literacy courses, and other hands‑on resources that empower job seekers to gain confidence and achieve long‑term employment success. These programs ensure every person has the opportunity to reach their full potential through the power of work.
