Altus Hospice

Altus Hospice is the gold standard method of caring for people at the stage of a life-limiting illness when no further curative or life-prolonging therapy is available or wished to be pursued by a patient or family member. Hospice services work with physicians and family to make the patient as comfortable as possible by relieving pain and other symptoms as needed, usually in the home or home-like setting preferred by the patient.

We are looking for volunteers for admin office work as well as patient-facing.  We ask for at least 3 hours a month and you can work with the patient you are visiting on what days and hours your visit. Visits can be as simple as companionship, crafts, reading, or a bible study.

We take pride in honoring our veterans and work closly witht he community to make sure they get the help and diginity deserved after serving out country.
